I'm not a religious person, but if I prayed to a deity it would be this one. Goddess of the moon and sun? Goddess of space and time? I look up at the moon when I am feeling down and I feel at piece. The sun is always there when you need warmth. The stars make me feel that I am free.
I dunno, this is just what I came up with. I enjoyed drawing this so much!

A sexy/sensuous vision of a deity, with a color scheme that's D.M. signature and makes all of her art incredible. And, as a concept, applying the fantasy elements to things that are there, Instead of an "unknowable higher being". It reminds me of the George Carlin "Sun God" comedy bit (VERY noteworthy in regards to this/artists' statement!). The sun, moon and stars are..... basically THERE for you.
