i love it....10/10 definitely.....btw i dont do water colors and i know you dont do backgrounds but this is something that just popped in my mind.....what if you paint the whole page a dim darker color and leave a light spot where navi is.....oh and i know navi is suppose to be dark in this like she hurt or something......but just for the futur lol :D...............AWESOME

Water color, at least in my opinion, is very difficult to use if you don't know how to use is. It would end up looking a little... cartoonish; but you pulled it off. To the contrary of to what I have seen here, he doesn't look emotionless but, sad in a way... almost an ashamed or regretful look in his eyes. What it says to me is that, I don't want to do this, but I am the only one who can and will. Good job...

Stick to how you've done this, don't let these fanboys tell you how to paint. Brilliant use of water colours, worthy of a definate 9, at least. What you've done here sets an atmosphere and needs no background or 'glowing Navi' to 'fix' that.

Very nice, very gritty, and I love the view you had of link when you made this. It's great watercoloring and attention to detail: I noticed the crisscross of the mesh under the shirt, the sword details, stiching, etc. It's all great :3
But still I have to agree that while yes, navi does look gritty, she's also the wrong hue =[
It's not so much that she needs to glow, but she looks kinda green/grey >.< Not exactly her shade of blue =/
But out of everything I really do think this is a great piece, and I look forward to more of your work :3 Cheers!

I really enjoy the pose of the figure in this. The choice of color and sensitivity for gradient is also commendable. This looks like pen and water color but I'm not sure, you should put your medium in the description! The solid tone over the fairy could have used a little more variance as well as the two tone hair. Those are just a couple suggestions if you wanted to work on it more. Otherwise great job!

I love the details.

I either think that hes hurt cause he was fighting, or he attempted to kill himself because of navis constant screeching. but he came back to life because he had a dam fairy in a bottle so now he can never be free of navi.

Btw did u see the Power Puff Girls where they had a Zelda parody where link killed navi and then himself? It was funny ass hell. Props to tehy Power Puffs XD

This is a truly lovely piece, the blood really dosen't disturbe me at all, but really adds to the creativity.

I also love the painting-like style you have here, though from the looks of it, it was done in colored pencil or colored digitally correct?

Anyway, love the work. This gets my first favorite. (wow I forgot those existed here ^^; )

And on a side note, there was blood in LOZ, but only in OoT and MM.

Well, first off. Excellent drawing skills. I had to favorite this because of the loving attention to detail, which goes a little more than skin (or in this case paper) deep.

This picture I find is a much darker, grittier and more realistic view of Link and Navi than the games portray. Besides that though, it is also quite dramatic. You show the warrior's strength with the blood stains and dirt and shading. You show his heart with the gentle cradling of Navi, the only one who was alongside him as he fought through all those battle fields. Sure he had allies who would be there occasionally, but through the entire trudge across the darkness of Hyrule, Navi was there the whole time.

Well I got a little off track there, but I'll finish by saying this is a beautiful and excellent piece. Very well done.

When playing the game you never really learn much abut the relationship between Link and Navi (other than "Hey, Listen!").
How this illustration appears to me, in a world where darkness loomed on the horizon, the weight of everything really did rest ypon the two of them.
And under those conditions, I'd think they would become very close indeed.
And, well... I guess in this I see how devoted they are to one another, as well as stopping Ganon.
I wish we got more of a sense of that in the game.
So good on ya for this! It's top notch, and you have my respect and appreciation for it.

I like the seriousness this portrays.
I also like the fact that you shaded out Link's eyes to add to the epic.
In my opinion, if you would've shaded out the top half of his face just to cover the eyes, it would've added more to the epic, lol. But I still think you did a fantastic work. The bloodstains add realism, I mean, how could he have gone through the game killing hundreds of monsters without getting a single blood stain on him.

The details on the clothing and the sword also add to the epic.
This is so epic you didn't even need a background for it.
I like it, good work, keep it up. 10/10

This is an amazing drawing. I'm just another LoZ fan, I'm not too crazy about it, but I love both Ocarina and Majora. ...And all sorts of Gameboy versions... Haven't tried Princess of Darkness for wii yet.... But enough about me. This drawing surpassed the quality of the game itself. You added subtle details that made the image far more realistic, especially the blood. Very good work, you should try selling these.

I like how grimy and down to earth this looks. Link truly looks as though he's gone through some battles untouched. As it should be! When you look at this picture, you can feel the weight of the equipment and his clothes. You can almost picture some the the climates that he has the travel through just to complete his mission.

eerie, i just finished playing it too. your style really hearkens back to the old art, pre-64 era, although you gleaned enough features to really keep it a very good any-game link. the watercolours and pose really exemplify him well, nice choice.
