The Gold Brain

Share

This is my surrealist painting called "The Gold Brain", with a unique visual style and different levels of interpretation.

As always, I don't like to explain my surrealistic paintings, because the viewer should have your own personal interpretation and feelings about the image.

I've created the psychic automatism with paper and graffiti and finish the artwork as digital painting.

There's many hidden symbols inside the art. I'd like to know if you can find some of that hidden stuff. :-)

Really love your work man, especially the more surreal ones, like this one, has to be my favourite for the time being.

Your style reminds of of a very depressed and tormented Dr. Seuss... I LIKE IT!

Nice and unique

~~REVIEW~~
Awsome this was very impressive i love the {UNIQUE-NESS} of it, i think i remember reviewing past work of yours, this one was very unique again like all your other work, i love all the differant, creations, and just really using imagination with the most unexpected creations, even some of the most random stuff aswell, it just is a great piece indeed, the backrounds were nothing too spectacular, but still seemed to work with what you had going, i especially love the {FISH} on the guys head, lots of detail in this one, and overall very welldone, anyways i dont see how you can improve on this, its pretty good thought, nice job.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
maybe some better detail in the backround other then that its alright stuff.

Strife, abuse and opportunism

Aww aren't you a unique little snowflake!
It's not that unique of a style (Dali, Bosch, , but I don't really care, because it's well developed and executed.
The composition is a bit unguided, like a random gathering of subjects, makes it feel less as -one- piece.

The symbolism is lost on me though, but that stuff is tricky. Since interpretation is often vague and the usage both relative to the context of the viewer and the painter himself (oh listen to me spout pretentious shit). Different culture, different symbols.

But the detailing and colour use is nice. Akin to my tastes. Further development on the detailwork and lighting could really make your works something I'd hang on my wall. Surrealism is most powerful when it looks almost real. So work on your real life studies, as always of course.

Hi MadGiraffe,

When I said unique style, I'm refering unique in my works. Of course Dali, Bosch and many others was the biggest inspiration for my art.

I like your review, I will consider your comments. :-)

Cheers
