I like this
This was notbad, the light effects is neat, but like others have said this might have been better with some color added, but you do have something good here, maybe make a colored version later

Sweet picture!
This really seems like it would have been better if you would have done it in color. It looks amazing but the center piece on his shirt at first made it look like you cut off his body there. Other than that I like the smokey background, its way better than I could have illustrated, and the knife looks pretty badass too. He doesn't seem all that interesting, he seems like a normal person in war, because he looks a little chubby to me but he has very muscular features. I also like the helmet design you have made as well. Sweet work desktoppirate!
the white space is called lazyness :P it got to 3am and i just thought "damn it, ill upload it" its a possibility that i may do more work on it....
