MFT - Pistol Design

Share

Modular Frame Tactics is a bit of an experiment for me in 3D modeling and game design. The weapons and various "programs" that they players get access to all have a "basic geometry" theme that relies heavily on square shapes, which creates a challenge when things have to bend or twist without losing the impression that they are distinctly quadrilateral in nature. While I started the project focusing on the melee weapons in the game, the ranged weapons present an entirely new challenge since they not only need to be visually distinct, but also have internal mechanisms and require much more extensive animation than the melee weapons. This pistol is the first of many designs for ranged weapons in the game and is rendered using the in-game poly model passed through a fairly advanced glass shader in Cinema 4D.

Looks more like plastic to me. Propably because there is no sharp highlight.. if thats a thing.
Anyways.. looks fantastic. I wantz one^^

Pretty cool science fiction stuff. but personally I'll just stick with a Colt 45 lol

Looks pretty cool. Kinda reminds me of Tron... and Legos. I dig the concept. I can only imagine what the rest of the game looks like. Good Work
