I made this illustration for a magazine that was never published. Its made of founded 35mm printed footage, taped together and scratched (and backlit). Minor corrections made in digital, mostly color, and some light leak between film stripes.

In case you haven't noticed, I love drawing skulls and such. This one has a clear influence from H.R. Giger, although it lacks the phalic/genital references of the master.
It's a complicated technique since there's no way to erase, but it feels really good to scratch the surface and get a line that is like made of light.
Real size is something like A3.

Man, this just fucking OWNS IT just by being so much god-damn analogic and Old School! Very nice job! And a very interesting technique as well. You should record a video of this piece, changing the lights you put behind it, to make the deal even more interesting.
