Not bad

A fancy abstract background, complimented by a shattered skull, a brain that looks tied up in purple string and a dribble of spittle, origins unknown.

I like the form of it all, with the sharp fangs, the eyeball looking skyward, possibly at the next blow willing to strike at it and the emotion, either of aggression or fear - I struggle to tell which, as they both start off the same.

I'm not happy with the result of the brain - try looking for more images of that and you'll see that a dark pink needs to be the colour for the recesses, as opposed to purple, unless you're making the brain a lot deeper colour. I don't think you'd have gone wrong in putting the brain in greyscale, either.

Getting there, just a little more work required.

I like the basic look of it. The skull itself seems alright, and the only problem I have with it is the saliva coming out of the mouth despite there being no glands to provide it. I love the slightly alien look it has to it, with the eye directed at the viewer as well. The shattering of the skull seems alright, despite the fact that a few of the pieces don't look like they would match up with the places they apparently broke away from.

The background definitely compliments the image well, giving the green eye some definition. The shine placed inside of the eye was done alright as well, no complaints there. I would suggest making the brain look a bit less vein-filled, but that is just my personal preference. Other than that, it seems to be in several segments, making it a bit too cartoonish.

Seems like an alright illustration. Keep up the good work.

this is great :) gave it a 5 obv. keep up the good work im glad to see you progressing with the media skills :) xxx i took a half off for the saliva cause im not sure it looks liquidy enough :) thats it though :D

Decky responds:

Cheers, as for the drool, I agree that if I had know about the background i was going to use before hand I would have made it slightly see through but I went for the nu-school approach and that's how it turned out. Bet you were just being picky though ;) haha.

I like the picture but I'm really in love with the background. Did you make it, or is it a template?

Decky responds:

it was a picture of flames that I changed the brightness and hue on to make it black and green. So I kinda made it and kinda didn't.
