"That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die." -H.P.L

This is my entry for the 2012 RobotDay drawling contest. The writing on it's (back?) is Kanji for "NEWGROUNDS". This was a real lot of fun to draw and color.

love the scythe like legs and apocalyptic feel. The whole bug-robot thing is always good.

deathink responds:

Thanks dude, the scythe like legs are a subtle nuance to reflect its connection to the grim reaper, there is also a much larger reflection that people have yet still to commented on...and that is a good thing because i didn't want it to be so in your face.

Great work! This reminds me of the walking home in Studio Ghibli's "Howl's Moving Castle".

deathink responds:

I have never seen that movie, but it looks like now I might have too

Love the appocalyptic atmosfare, but when i look at your creature it seems to not really have anny function, so i ended up thinking it as a statue a waistlander made. 4 of 5. Meby putting more functions in to your character, Make it alive, make it do things!

deathink responds:

It has only one function...KILL!

-_-, ...................away from my desktop a balance between ugly bugs and robots can only be created by mans own imagination and only on this very day can our imagination be limited long story short i love your work!

deathink responds:

Thanks man, there is however one aspect of the bug that no one has mention yet... let's just say I didn't name it a death bug for no reason :D
