The lonely tree

Share

Hey everyone!

I modeled and sculpted the tree, mountain, grass, and leaves in the zbrush software. Then I rendered those models in keyshot to add the color, texture, and lighting. Finally, I add some finish touches to it in Photoshop.

I tried to step out of my comfort zone: character sculpting to make 3D environment which I actually enjoy this a lot more. I feel like I want to work on environment artworks a lot more often. This is pretty challenging especially since I'm a noob to zbrush lol.

I really hope you guy really like this!! If not, please point out anything in this artwork if you see that I need to improve on it. Any feedback is more than welcome :)

Enjoy :)

Really well sculpting my friend, especially when it's out of the comfort zone!
Really liking the view point and the and the placement with the blocks, waterfall and the trees around, really nice!
But I saw pretty fast the bluring part that's bothering my eyes to much, hahah :D You got the blur pretty well made right in the middle but at both side you can see a straight line where the blur begin/ends, even at the top of the tree you see the blur line.
So if you have soften it out, it would have done well!
And a tip to is:
Have the block with the tree clear and sharp, and then just blur behind it just a little to make the block/tree come more forward.

Thank you, my friend! Sorry for the late response. I'm studying on the blurring to learn how to make some objects like tree to stand out more. Thank you for your great tip and I will keep that in my mind :)

i love those trees. and that waterfall. and those rocks. i like everything about it. nice work.

is personal preference but i think the blur/miniature effect transitions too fast on the left side of the screen? i dont know. still looks amazing to me.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear this :)
