Laurihir

After only producing one stillborn child after much effort, Laurihir swore herself into priesthood to the Temple Alivia, and dedicated her duties to the Deity of Life.
It was soon that she fell under a fever, and after a few days of raging pain she was pronounced dead. Her body was placed within a casket, and was designated to be cremated. On the day of the funeral, her casket lay empty, and her body missing. Visitors to the Temple that day mentioned seeing her leaving the grounds as the sun rose that morning, a glow in her eyes and a blank stare.
The Deity of Life had decided that Laurihir was not allowed to pass on, and instilled within her a fragment of godsoul. This allowed her to rise from the grave, eternal in service.
Laurihir, under the control of the deity, becomes a healer of the reverent ghost of children wronged in life and forsaken in death. The ghosts of adults are too far sinful to be healed, and must be dealt with otherwise. The aura of negative soul that surrounds reverent spirits has the ability to drain ones soul into the nether, yet under the protection of the deity, Laurihir is rendered unaffected. This allows her to approach the child's ghost and soothe its woes and assure it final rest.
Only a few people have seen her on the edge of night, yet to actually catch a glimpse of Laurihir is considered to be a bad omen, as many believe her presence suggests that a child will die soon.

How did that kid die? Older brother was working on a lathe, chisel flew loose, pegged sister in eye, sister died, brother got scared, dumped body in field, said that coyotes got her, happy ending.
