Fuckin' fantastic. Lovin' th' water th' water bouncin' offa her sword!

This is beautiful! I love the expression on the character, as well as her pose and how intense she seems to be. Your movement on the character feels a little stiff. The back arm that is outstretched it superb, and I love the motion of the water as well, but the scarf doesn't follow the same line of action, nor does the hand in front of her mouth.

There is also some contrasting, color and atmospheric issues. You've put so much beautiful detail into the snake, but a lot of that gets lost. If the body is extending into the background far away, why not try and make those colors more muted? Less white. This will help to push the foreground a little bit better.

Be wary about using true black and true white in your illustrations, they can really flatten a piece.

But don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound like a hard ass. I see a lot of great potential here. A really thought provoking piece as far as inspiration goes. Really like the ideas you've displayed here, and I can't wait to see you develop your art further!

My only issue with this drawing is... (I am not a background artist) ... The snake blends into the background, rather than looking like a character in itself. I think it's just it's eyes... it blends in because of the artstyle used on him. The character herself looks amazing.
Other than that, everything else is perfect! I enjoy the mix between manga and this weird splotch style coloring.
