Rise of the Red Sun

a new painting that started out from a spitpainting. so i decided to develop it further into this. :) Big thanks to my friend and mentor Karl Liversidge for guiding me through improving my art work. This is considered the hardest painting i ever made so far because i learned a ton from it!

Amazing

I love everything about this! The part I think is probably the most well done is the detail on the water. The way the head appears to be rising up out of the water is amazing. The more I stare at it, the more I can see it actually happening. The colors are simply breathtaking. The glowing of the crown is done so perfect, that it actually appears real. I love the shadow and closeness of the grass. It feels like we're actually peeking through it at her.
