Bernini's David

Share

Using charcoal and traditional artistic techniques, I replicated a dramatic angle of the Biblical hero David, from Gianlorenzo Bernini's famous sculpture.

I used a reference photo when drawing this picture:

nice shine ! love the detail1!

This is a great charcoal work of art. Some color would really make it stand out.

An interesting take on one of the most iconic sculptures

Tell me did you draw this by memory or you had a pic as a reference because this is a really good take! I never even noticed how impressive the statue is from this angle you can really appreciate it more so then ever too!

Nice work!

wonderful

this looks crazy good, but i would just change the eye that is on the darker halkf of the face, it seems to be tilted at a weird angle

Classic

~~REVIEW~~
Now hers an older drawing but still amazes me today, a fine piece of artwork, the charco seems to work well with this, i really like this because you were able to bringout the {FACE} and all the little details of the character here, you really striked that pose of him {THINKING} it would have been nice to see some color even just a little here and there, very nice indeed on this piece of fine artwork even though its an older piece it still amazes me, so i was pleased to see it and even review it, so nice job all around, Now as to improve on something like this, well as mention some color wouldnt hurt maybe even some {LIGHTING} from where he is looking at just a few ideas that could be improving on this other then that it was very impressive and it was a pleasure reviewing it.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Some suggestions of lighting effects in the upper right corner and some touches of color aswell
