Earth

This was a sketch I did for an animation I'm starting. The point was to get the basic idea of mapping out geographic features on the earth so that they were in proper perspective, obviously I failed, but I learned a lot that will help me with the animation. I'm definitely excited for the animation and it is going to be the longest project I have ever done.

now this

is someone who you do not mess with

To me it looks like the world...

... inside an eye, and the pupil is the lump, looking at the actual Earth.
It's amazing
All your work is :D

CptBeefcake responds:

your the first one to see it that way... but that "pupil" is actually a botched moon! Its cool to see it now that you pointed it out
after I made it I thought the earth and sun looked more like a the profile of an eye, with the sun being the lens but it doesn't matter, most people don't even notice it's supposed to be the earth.

Hmmm.....

Its a great interpretation,needs a little more detail :D

CptBeefcake responds:

I definitely cheated out on the forests because I didn't know what else to put in it
still a ten though?? seems like a pretty good score :P

Stoked for the flash to come out already!

Hurry up haha i know it'll be amazing.

Interesting, though.

Where you think you have failed, you have also made a success. Percfect it may not be, your unique rendition of planet Earth is a damn good one.

CptBeefcake responds:

I definitely was too critical of my work, Im actually pretty happy with this, but it would have helped if the elements of the drawing were easier to tell apart. I'm excited about my animation but it won't be done anytime soon.
