This is a depressing ink painting I did off a burnt branch I found. I realize that most people won't like this, but I don't have a problem with that. The painting has some written excerpts I wrote in, most of them depressing. Read them if you want, they're pretty sad.

If it wasn't odd enough I decided to add some designs in pen across the log, making is seem almost mechanical. This is definitely one of the more abstract things I've done. Enjoy, or don't.

Very Good

I absolutely love your work. I'm not even sure why, but i love seeing your very dark, artistic views. I also love how you've taken inspiration in this piece. This won't be one of my longer reviews, so i'll just say this. Great: concept, use of emotion, technique and art all together. Well done.

a follower? thanks

Well I liked it...

It's definetely dramatic, I'll say that much. I really like the way that this is done; dirty, rotten, and dead. The black trails at the bottom are an excellent touch. If you hadn't said it was a burnt branch, i never would have known. However, that doesn't matter because regardless of what it is, it is no more, and that is where this picture is truly depressing.

Great work and 5/5.

CptBeefcake responds:

thanks for the support, I was considering not posting this because I didn't think many people on newgrounds would appreciate it. I really like this work myself, its actually one of my favourite ink paintings. Now you've convinced me to post another, I don't like it as much but its still good!
