Sin Laughing

Share

A commission painting for Jay-lel. He requested a pic of Sin laughing manically >:] So I painted Sin lounging on a pile of human skulls surrounded in flames while laughing and enjoying the death he caused. haha On a side note this was the first time I decided to try a new red acrylic called Pyrrole red...and its an amazing tone! It really hit a nice pop in the flames and when blending it with Paynes Grey blue created this rich BLOOD tone around the edges. Needless to say i was very happy with the paint and now Pyrrole will be a regular in my collection next to Alizarin crimson and Napthol red. I also felt that since the scene was warmer in nature I added Raw Umber brown to the bones instead of my ususal picks like blues or grey tones...and i kinda liked it! The brown hints gave them a more natural "boney" hue. :D Anyways hope you liked it Jay-Lel!

You're an incredible artiste! I wished I'd seen Sin, Skitzo and others sooner. I also checked out one of your interviews. The artwork you make is absolutely dark and macabre, nightmarish to the max! Hopefully I get the chance to read In The Dark soon.

Comick responds:

Wow thanks man! :D I appreciate you looked at my work and liked it too. More art posts should be on the way (with news on issue 3 of In The Dark)

I must write, you are very good with your painting Comick. Also your character called Sin, that is one messed up demon. Is Sin like some kind of part rabbit (shows the face of any innocent animal yet seems like a killer)/goat (Satan's most favourite animal) and demon?
By the way the colour Pyrrole red seems to fit perfectly within the whole background.

Comick responds:

Sin isn't really any one animal..i always just call him a demon thing heh. But when i was designing him i did stick to lots of bits and the bones/body of a rat, cat, gray hound, snake , steer, and angler fish

Awesome nice work. ;D

very good

I really love this painting and is one of my favorites that you have made.
