The twisted 1920'ish character is Joe, and I think he's a weasel. The concepts of these "Joe" paintings are used as narrative puns and different views on normal everyday things. In this painting, Joe goes to a large lactating udder that dispenses coffee instead of milk. It's his nourishment to get through the day. But when he gets there, he finds a Hare has violated his coffee by licking it and dipping his pancreas in it too. Joe is running out of time and his watch lets him know it, meanwhile an "evil bird" watches on...death is eminent here. The whole thing is about getting a coffee while late to work and finding a hair in your cup.
NOTE! This is 6ft long!
