A drawing I did for a Halloween Contest :) Death is feeling generous this Halloween and decides to spread a little candy to some naive trick or treaters. Everybody loves a sucker ;D

It looks very nice I like the sickle very much, and the expressions are pretty good if you ask me. The "creatures" pose is very nice and crooked, I love it. All around fantastic job.

yea sure, at newgrounds every little artist only call picasso "F4gGoT of art". things r just cool inside. what kind of bad man-eating creaturic ghosty creature can give a kid some candy and say "happy halloween"? completing all halo games in a hour has more possibilitys :D

Ha, oh man, these people are way off. I dont see anything emo about this. Very cool looking. I do find the general body form on the creature a little convoluted at a glance however, but other than that its absolutely fantastic, and definitely not a big deal. i especially love the creatures expression. Anyways, rock on.

Thanks man! Yeah I didn't see any of that either XD. But I get what you mean about the contorted parts. A little on the "cracked-bones" side I guess haha, I'll keep an eye out for it next time. Glad their expressions came out well and thanks for the review! :)

Death just looks awesome! If I were to wake up and see, or just see that character period I would definitely shit myself. Yet you added in some humor. I like that. The freakishly awesome reaper along with the slightly funny quip is a good combo. Sheesh . . just look at Death's face and teeth.

Emo?! NO way! XD I think he would need more like black lipstick and a lip-piercing and a sad book of poetry to be an Emo. Lol, my Death is just decaying.
Wow, what can I say? This is just wicked. The humor really brings it together for me and makes it just that much better. Great art. Love the style. Very unique. Plenty of detail. The Reaper's hair is one of the best elements of the drawing. It's so well done and adds a lot of character to the drawing. Even the way it moves, like it's being blown by wind or some mystical evil dense fog. The Reaper's speech balloon is absolutely awesome, like some snake or hiss escaping his mouth and then bloodying the very air itself (I wrote this before I even noticed snake tongue). I personally interpret the speech from that balloon as a growl in my imagination, but it's open to interpretation, as long as that interpretation is dark. The Reaper also appears to be wearing some sort of coattails, which is superiorly badass. The proportions of everything in the drawing are really cool, too. This Halloween, Death is bringing the sweetness. This Halloween...is Grim.

detailing is through the room with cartoonish realism, i love the bloody details on the scythe(got a couple scythes hanging on my living room walls..... can call me a fanatic i guess lol) anyway, an over all great piece and ironic as its the reaper and he shouldnt be giving candy but taking souls, guess he has a little bit of a sweet side lol

detail is incredible the mixture of cartoon and realism blows my mind and that might be the most badass grim reaper ive ever seen

two problems, the tongue on the childs mouth is going way to far to the side, its almost like he has two mouths and the scythe at the part were the blade meets the shaft there are some dark feeler like hairs coming out of it, i dont know if thats from his shoulders or not. Great use of colors, really liked how you blended some light color into nicely, very festive, good draw.
