Well this is taking fractals to another level..
you see.. creating patterns and stuff in Aphopysis while challenging to make something .. concrete.. is still simple in comparison to having an idea and making it.
I decided I wanted to make a cherry in Apophysis - and so I did - and exported it as a transparent png. Then I took that cherry and converted it to a julia design - and tweaked and whatnot to get it to look how I wanted. I then pue 3 cherries in the middle and 3 cherries I nestled into the outstretched "palms" of the circle pattern I made, intentionally for this purpose.
then I added a larger fadeout in the bg for that whole filled out look :)
the result is an interesting fusion of mathematical radial symmetry combined with some very concrete objects made in the same program - aided with photoshop :)
I tried the stars again this time but it just didn't look right this time.
enjoy!

yes i instantly thought what you said in your description, it's a concrete object delivered through a interesting fractal art.
Like the colors, it also reminds of me of an interactive platform in FFX!
Author's Response:
actually now that you mention it is sort of does.. cool!
thanks for the review!

looks like pro artwork to me man (it IS pro artwork), its amazing. I really like the shade/tone of green you picked, its not too bright but still gives it that... look... if you know wat i mean. What is really nice is the really light bits at the sides of the arms, its very subtle and it makees the pic look awesome. The aqua/indigo blue aura around the red adds that little touch of balance that the red needs
Wow dude!! amazing art! 5/5 10/10
Author's Response:
glad you like man - I had to pull off a fw tricks to do this one :)
thanks for the review!

I like the green swirls on the outside and on the inside, as well as the spiky circles. Your use of the red spheres as cherries is good. I would've put different size red spheres in there, but this looks great the way it is. :D :D
Author's Response:
I don't have enough control in apophis to tweak to that extent :)
but I like the cherries the size they are ^^
thanks for the review!

It's so beautiful. I love the colors and the swirling repeating pattern. Keep it up!
Author's Response:
I will try!

Thank you, EchoRun, thank you, lol. ;)
And now that I'm thinking Christmas I can't also help but notice a "Holly" branch look to it, combined with the wreath feel. Very interesting blends, swirls, and points, along with a nice color scheme.
This kind of makes me think of some type of "nature" spell for an animation or video game. Inspired an idea for a story I'm writing, which is always good.
Nicely done.
Author's Response:
ITS A CHERRY DAMN YOU PEOPLE!!!
lol...
and lol transmutation circle..
glad you like it :P
thanks for the review!

Wow, what a fantastic work of art! Greens and reds go well together you know..... a very thoughtful idea indeed. It is also kind of eerie, and if you look at it for a bit it kinda slightly moves.
Overall, nice job at the art! 9/10.
Author's Response:
I only noticed that when you mentioned it.. freaky..
and ya red and green does go well together :)
thanks for the review!

It resembles to me a techno or futuristic mix of some sort. I love the blend of colors and the repeating, fading patterns.
Nice job.
Author's Response:
yes I thought the repeating fading pattern was a nice touch to flesh it out :)
thanks for the review!

Nice! I like Apophysis, though I have yet to try composite images myself, I have one planned though.
I like the Cherry theme. So very simple! A cherry. Just, A Cherry. Then you take that idea and make this with it and it is just so pretty!
The colours make me think of Christmas - not that you have a huge range of colours with cherries. It's like some kind of fractal Christmas wreath. It's making me feel all wintery and Christmasy just looking at it but it is four months early for that!
Author's Response:
great - now I think of christmas when I look at it too - GOOD JOB THERE SONNY!
lol..
and yes.. so very simple.. a cherry.. and yet so also very hard to do..
thanks for the review - and go make some stuff!
