Ride the lightning

Most of the Art Portal submissions fall into two bad categories:

a) The typical, unimaginative drawings based on abused clichés/memes and impersonal styles, that don't constitute a fine piece due to poor work.

b) Stuff that was created to impress and be imaginative, but that falls into a far fetched interpretation of "creativity", resulting on utter randomness, a product of banal concepts and lazy creative process.

Then, there's a last category in which I would fit in the good works such as yours:

c) Those pictures which exhibit a good degree of originality, a twist or spin-off from the usual themes and topics, or an intelligent interpretation of them, and that include art that is appealing to the eye (not necessarily complex, just appealing).

Long story short: I liked your piece very much.
