Burning Gundam-3D

Share

We had to make a character of some sort for my 3D animation class using Maya, and even though I never modeled before, I wanted to attempt to make the head of my favorite Gundam, the Burning/God Gundam. I then decided to just make the entire body and use it for the class. Yeah I could have made an original character, but I have a Burning Gundam model and I thought it would be interesting to transfer that in to 3D. This is based on the 1/100 Master Grade model and his shoulder cannons, chest, Burning Slashers, wings/corelander, and back calfs move so he can turn in to Hyper Mode
3D modeling is very intriguing to me...It's like a puzzle, trying to fit primitive objects to look like reference images without having awkward polygons. I love the special effect/lighting/reflectio ns, but all that prettiness is mostly thanks to the coders of the simulation :/. I enjoyed making this though and plan to make a human next.

two things- awsome drawing

the second i thank you for showing a pic like this because of the show
your work like nazo unleashed is freaking amazing

Nice

It would be good if you could do more like like Gundam Wing Zero for example or even the Strike Freedom Gundam

AWE-some!

The G Gundam series was the best, hands down. I remember coming home when I was younger and watching this. Funny, because just recently I was want to get back to watching this (I missed the last 3 episodes) but it had been so long that I forgot everything about it. Making it difficult to find what series I was looking for. Till now. So thank you so very much! OH! And congratulations on your video making #1 on Daily Feature. You've earned it.
