Celeste - 2014 - The Infrastella Project

Out of all the characters and art that i have produced in my lifetime, nothing comes close to the amount of times i have drawn Celeste. With each time that i draw her i feel i am taking another step forward to becoming a better digital artist/animator. Comparing to the image i did of Celeste at the start of the year, i feel i am starting to develop her alot more in terms of style and character.

Celeste represents my motivations and my inspirations to form the ultimate embodiment of my passion. What i have always loved about animation is the ability to capture a vision into a visual form, through the combination of artistic qualities and musical support. I believe music and animation go hand in hand, the two influence one another and form together to create such emotional and visually stunning experiences. That is what Celeste represents, my passion for animation and music together.
Over the years though Celeste has turned into something much more then that, not only have i started to develop her own world and back story but she represents me and artistic qualities as a whole - so to me she is very special and i will never tire of drawing her.

This time i tried to spice things up a bit and give her a hoodie...unfortunately once i started digitizing it, it looked completely wrong. I felt the jacket took away alot of details and you couldn't truly appreciate her design, so i removed it. Also this time i draw her with her " energy ring ", which activates when she goes into battle mode. The ring is supposed to represent a spinning record.
