This was the cover of my first story about Calvo. 'Calvo: The Belgrano's Hills incident' (so it says the title in the picture), takes the idea of a loss and makes it tangible, in the form of a big hole in the chest. It is a tale about grief, acceptance, friendship, loyalty and self-improvement.
The motivation of this story was a personal setback that had me paralyzed (figuratively) for several months. But despite being hinted, it is never mentioned. That is because this is not about empathizing with the experience Calvo had in the past, but with the way he deals with the loss itself in the present. We all lose something. Big or small, it’s subjective.
The story ends with a big reveal, related to the existence of a supernatural world, which shares more human-like qualities than anyone could have anticipated.
Thanks for passing by. Have a nice week. I’m very grateful for your support.
