My head had been in the clouds for awhile. Eyes adjusted to the dimming horizons. I thought I'd seen you nearby but I realized the light had cast my shadow instead. The sun was setting and in a way I felt like I was setting with it.

A sigh escaped my lips. I knew what was happening, what had been happening for so long. I've been looking ahead for awhile. I suppose because my heart is so old, what else could I do? The funny thing is.. it always ends up lonely anyway. I've existed like this for a bit. Just wish you didn't have to see me like this.

Someone once called me their star. I wonder if they were only seeing their shadow too. Oh, I wouldn't know really. It was so long ago. They were such a dork......I loved them for it. Just wish I could remember their name.

Well, anyway... I've been going on for a bit... I think I'll sit here for a little while longer. Maybe just think on some things. Thanks.
