I've been told before by the now and again wanderer that they're feeling distanced. That they don't feel much of anything these days..that they have a grey heart. So they tell me they feel lost. That there is something wrong with them.

Oh I wouldn't know...grey hearts are something rather beautiful to me. They're often the people who feel so much, they've been harmed by it and draw away. So their answer is to punish themselves with the belief that to feel better they must feel less. Eventually it just becomes a second nature. To accept a belief we are incapable of more. Believe me..I've been there.

Some people believe they're lost, unsure of where to go..and that terrifies them. You're more free than some people you know. You're an open slate of possibilities, unrealized potential and waking dreams. Maybe it feels like you're lost, but you're an explorer here. Maybe some people have made you feel wrong for that, but take some time..as much as you need. There is so much more in you that maybe you're not seeing just yet, but we're waiting to see that grey heart of yours, because it's no less beautiful or strong than any other.
