This is awesome! I actually think the piece would be stronger if you'd moved everything up a bit; there's nothing going on up in that sky, so why not show us more of this cool world?
Alternatively, you could throw some clouds up there.

Another piece done for school. We had to practice doing landscapes, took a mountain scape because it's easy and I'm a lazy bastard.
And since I'm more of a character/creature designer than a landscape painter I decided to put a critter in it. I put more time and effort into the beast than in the mountains, I think.
Was also a bit of practice with texture brushes, haven't used them a lot yet.
