I like the "simple" but very detailed graphics. Has a very nice feel to it. I'll probably end up looking at the art more than playing the game :D

p.s. it seems like somebody is sitting on the top left platform smoking. Or am I imagining things? :)

Can't say im a fan on the old dated graphics, as a debut game i think you should of put everything into it, like colour and more detail. It seems you've drawn a few different scenery items that have no corralation with each other, looks really over crowded and boring. Good try though.
Thanks for being honest and you see, I've made over 600 tiles for this game so far but haven't gotten around to finishing this, so again, I appreciate honest feedback but this is a call-back to the 80's/90's and the gameboy was an icon then so it made perfect sense to bring that colour scheme and pixelated look back:D cheers!
I really enjoy the art style you have for this game. This menu has a bit more "openess" for if you'd like to just start the game in this room when hit START. Also, this menu is less clutter than the other cave option. It just looks neater and cleaner.
