This is my submission for the August 2016 Challenge of the Month, Taletellers. And it's the first time that I take part in this challenge! :)
I've chosen Ron Gilbert with the characters from Monkey Island, a game series originally created by him. I've been playing the series since high school (that's when I first heard of it), and yes, I still play them every now and then. It's one of those games you never get tired of, and the style of the buildings and characters in the game are what inspired me to start illustrating, not just creating art.
The style, background and character looks are all from the third game in the series, The Curse of Monkey Island. These particular characters are the main characters and thus feature in all (or at least three) of the five games.
I had so much fun doing this!
