i dont know....im pretty sure i went overboard with the shading...
i really want to make another armored samus artwork.

Dude it's old skool Samus as I know and love her! Apart from a slight awkwardness in the pose (which is always a bitch to pull off) this looks awesome, like she's just bust in through the air lock ready to curb stomp some Metroids!
It's got a great metallic feel to it.
I don't think you went overboard with the shading, you just didn't soften the shading. The whole piece is quite good, it just needs softer shading & lighting. And I'm disappointed that you didn't show Samus's face through the glass in the helmet. That would've been a neat touch.
