During Rema's journeying to learn the sword she joins a mercenary band lead by Zuberi along with his wife, Nia. Alemayehu was their daughter and befriended Rema after putting her under several trials. For the next four years Rema learned Abo-in and mercenary tactics before once again setting out on her own again. She would remain in contact with the Kongazewa over the following decades.
