Magnolia never asked about the fate of Terzo after learning what he did to Rema and immediately agreed to leave their home to travel with her daughter and the Gavrielles. It took time to get used to life beyond what it had been, proving the most difficult transition beyond leaving behind her family. She took in the new experiences and places she dared not dream of seeing in her lifetime, rekindling her sense of freedom.

Having learned that Rema had consumed Miriam’s blood and was now and umbra, Magnolia grew upset at this and the nature of the girl’s relationship. It was hard to reconcile all of the changes with her beliefs and own doubts. In the end it took Rema pleading to extend her life so they could be together longer and find purpose again, she finally underwent the blood ritual with Cachusa.
Ironically, Magnolia sprung to life not long after and more spirited than in her younger years. She returned to dance and expanded her learning, even being taught white artes.

Nearly twenty years came and went before it became known that Cachusa and Miriam were being hunted and had to leave for their sake. Not wishing to see them go, she knew it was harder for Rema in losing her only friend. They stayed in Aqualos a short time before returning to Isalme and rejoining their family’s caravan. Delving back into the life of a gypsy, she taught Rema all she could of the lifestyle while allowing her to continue her training in swordplay.

Once it came time for Rema to go on her pilgrimage to pursue her dream, they left after her mother’s passing and Magnolia rejoined the caravan for another brief period. Her vitality as an umbra would become too apparent, and so she journeyed on her own dancing, reading fortunes and hired on for beast taming. Years went before she found herself in South Saggio under various employs. Rema returned eventually to try for the knights of Isalme, having matured and grown from her own experiences.

Magnolia became the support of her daughter and Miriam once they had been reunited, doing what she could in the place of Cachusa’s absence. Rema purchased her a home and land with her knight’s wages and the gypsy restarted her vineyard and hunting/selling pelts. She bonded quickly with Dusk, Mila and eventually Lauro; orphans taken in by Rema and Miriam.

It was always apparent to Magnolia because of Rema’s personality, she would endanger herself as in the past for those close to her. Pushing herself continually she acknowledged to be the one weakness harbored from her childhood, not wanting to be as her father would put her in a dire situation. There was only so much Magnolia could do to prepare for this, but continued to be the best console she could, even if not always in agreeance.
