well second try at the chalk pastel and it came pretty good ,tree represents a lonely person fighting with its thoughts ,river represents the sanity the person still has and the dark represent all the pain the hate the confusing times moments ,the past .

At a glance i didn't think much of this in honesty.
Then i noticed the use of colour blending, Harmonizing and contrast.
It does have quite a powerful feel to it.
