So I finally got the chance to see Fury Road on Sunday... And, this happened. XD

OH MAN EVERYBODY I don't care who you are I don't care if you've never even seen the other three movies or even know what the heck this series is about GO SEE FURY ROAD that was one of the funnest freaking experiences I've EVER HAD at a screening gosh I honestly wanna go see it again! aksldmsad

Just started as a simple little sketch of Immortan Joe and the Gigahorse, two sexy beasts in one! It was my favorite out of all the cars, I knew I had to draw the thing even if I can't draw cars to save my life. I really like how the Furiosa came out but ain't as happy with Max, Max is just kind of a difficult character for me to translate to my style though his attire isn't really all that, like, recognizable or sticks out. Ain't nowhere near as recognizably distinct as a guy with a horse-toothed gas mask or a badass lady with a robot hand that's for sure. XD I also felt like trying something a little different with the coloring on this one! I didn't really feel like going for lots of browns and beiges so felt like stylizing, I think it worked out in it's favor honestly. I might try another drawing with something like that again sometime soon!

I freaking love this movie. It's been a looong long time since I saw a big budget film have this level of creativity in it, and god dang was it nice to see some practicality to effects again! SO MANY FREAKING FUN CHARACTERS I love Joe I LOVE FURIOSA, I love that freakin' guitarist on the war-drum car, I LOVE ThE WARBOYS I looove the totally different and interesting tribal cultures of the wastes, and I really like the way they went about working with Max as a character. He seems just so lost in his isolation through the wastelands at this point that he's practically forgotten how to interact with human beings. And speaking of Max himself, it's a little funny just how little he actually did himself in this. XD If I'm not mistaken I believe I read that the film at one point was going to be called Furiosa? It works man cause it's totally her movie, and she earns it! I'm just so glad to see a director in this day and age use his power and creative control to give us a true work of art and passion and a modern masterpiece. Anyone that speaks to me knows my cynicism to the modern day Hollywood blockbusters, I believe we're in one of it's worst most boring periods yet. I wish the older directors of yore could do what Miller did and try to push themselves to get a passion project out, that's anywhere near as good as this. When Cameron does it, we got boring bland Avatar, Spielberg really hasn't made anything that special since War of the Worlds back in '05 and I gueeeess Tin-Tin, and Lucas... Though I do believe he tried with all his might the Prequels just were not good films. But I have so much to say about those and I'll save it come the end of this year when I do my Star Wars art pieces to prep for Episode VII...*_*

Yanno what's funny though is as much as I freaking loved Fury Road, it STILL didn't manage to top the original Mad Max as my favorite of the series. I will never understand what people see in Road Warrior! XD All my life the original was my absolute fav. The setting and the story is just top-notch and the most engaging and interesting, a pre-post-apocalyptic setting that's already breaking at the seams is just far more interesting than any post-apocalyptic setting you can come up with, and Fury Road gave us a dang good one, but in the end, I don't think it could have possibly topped my love for the original Mad Max. But I can safely say it matched it.

I'm afraid I haven't seen Fury Road, but it looks like a good film. Anywho, I love the colors and your style. This image is chaotic, which im sure emulates the movie nicely.
