Qilin tend to have parts of their body on fire anyways... but this is a Fire Dujiao (1-horned) Qilin.

interesting

very interesting. but what exactly is it?( mythology wise) i am a big fan of mythology and love what you have done with this piece. beautifully done.

It's a Qilin.

It's a related to the Chinese dragon, but has the body of a deer, ox, horse, or some type of equine.

It's 1 of the 4 main lucky auspicious gods in Chinese mythology.
