Its always great to see stuff from you man, each image shows a bit of improvement i think! Its really motivating.
The areas around the eyes are great! Those colors around there could have been applied on some other areas, I think it would bring the image togeather a bit.
I do like your 'scribbly' look, its a great way to see it's a typical bmk, and it adds to the feeling of the pictures. Although, i do think you could work a bit with the underlaying colors before working with the highlights and shadows, you know? Especially in this case, where i think the blue background kind of shines through and disrupts the skin tone in some areas. Although, as AwesomeSaurus said, the blueness adds to the message, but i think it still could bee smoothen up in some places.
Keep at it man!
he looks so sad :( it's good though i like it. the use of color space and texture really brings the focus into the whole piece rather than just one area, even though it gets pretty chaotic in some places. lots of underlying colors are cool too.
good jorb
cheer that man up! :)
This poor guy looks miserable BMK, you really got some feeling into this one. While it could definitely use some touching up, I have a feeling you were going for a quicker semi-finished piece that focuses more on the emotion behind it rather than it being a polished painting.
I really like the color choices you used, you can really tell he's "feelin' blue" or just absolutely exhausted. Also, the warmth of the red really draws the viewer's attention directly to the eyes at first glance, which I really like.
Poor guy needs a freakin' hug. . . or a beer.
