This is me trying to draw backgrounds as well as figure out how to color things. Any and all constructive criticism is appreciated!
EDIT: Added highlights and a glow around the lantern.

The styles groovy, I like the super saturated pink thing, but I think it would look even better if you made the lantern light-sourcier. It looks like it's on but it's not really highlighting anything, although the shadows indicate that it's a light source (?), so you should smack some highlights on everything around it, maybe even the ol' barely opaque yellow circle to make it pop.

That's a very valid point concerning the lantern. I had tried to make the light source vaguely coming from the direction of the trees (where the sun is supposedly hidden). But I think you're right about the lantern, so I'll add some more highlights. Thanks for the response!
