Fret One

Share

One of my favorites from an 11-piece concentration for AP art. Done with marker, colored pencil, and a dash of water color pencil in the background.

Extremely nice! But, isn't that technically fret 0?

Visualy Beautiful

I have to admit this was a beautiful visual of the guitar here, some added shine and sparkle on the string keyes would be a nice idea, A drawing that is layered in various shades of a few colors each of which stands out individually in their own right, The colors and their emphasis manipulate the lighting adding shininess to the surface of the guitar as it highlights the aspects of a realistic instrument, Boldness in color similarly provides structure keeping the realism and disregarding a need for any visible linework, Markings of the colors in terms of the manner in which the piece was colored is neat and clean going in a rhythmic direction of consistency. Wonderful overall.

Yey

Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty!

Yeah!

That's the thing. Very nice detail, and you have a nice light feeling, it can be seen... keep on rocking! ;)

Nicely done

I like how unified the piece is, and how the space is used up effectively. this must've taken ages to finish, seeing how it's in colored pencil.

(only 11 piece concentration for AP? in my AP class, we have to make 12. o.O)

Bit-Master responds:

I did make 12, but one of them reeked, and I was permitted to submit a detail shot of one of the other pieces in place of it. Had I had the time, I would have gladly done another color pencil drawing. And this one was agonizing to finish, mostly at the first knob where the string ends, 'cause of the highlights. Can't really erase and get a bright white.
