2014's design for the http://hopeiscoming5k.com/ race shirts.

I may like last year's (http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/bimshwel/hope-is-crummy) design somewhat more, but I had difficulty coming up with any idea at all this time. The important thing is that a bunch of silly animals are not being helpful.
The figure at the base is practicing relaxation techniques in line with the "patient care initiative" the race proceeds are funding this year.
I had a moderately dark green background while drawing this so that I could be certain what was white and what was nothing, as last year the shirts were grey, rather than white. It is crucial that transparency be accurate. I have considered making every one of these scoundrels totally invisible to accommodate that.

I really like the idea and colors on this! The interactivity between the characters are really nice.

If I could say one thing though, the "is" isn't obvious. If I didn't read the title, I might not have seen it at all. My suggestion would to increase the negative space around it, potentially by increasing the arm-length of the two whose tails make the word. Or alternately, play a little more with line-weight.

bimshwel responds:

Thank you, those are good observations! But the shirts are long past made. This is from 2014, and I only formed a moderately solid sense of how to clarify and draw attention to specific image aspects within this past year.
