The Grimataur

Share

The Grimataur is an ancient predator demon created by Lucifer. His purpose was to find corrupted souls and bring them to the underworld so that they could join the devil's army. However, after tasting the power of souls himself, the Grimataur became addicted and couldnt stop. Lucifer had to lock him away since he was unable to murder one of his most valuable creations. Since then, the Grimataur is dormant throughout the year but every October, when the veil between our world and the supernatural thins out, his addiction awakens him . He posseses a human who willingly took an innocent life. After finding an appropriate vessel the Grimataur hides in isolation during the day and roams the cities only during the night, feeding on human souls.

The host undergoes a series of transformations. The first week the skin burns off and in its place grows a thick layer of scales- almost indestructable. The second week horns emerge from the hosts forehead. The third week a tail grows in which the monster stores energy taken from the souls. The forth and final week the body grows larger and larger. In Halloween the transformation is complete and the Grimataur consumes more souls than any other night! After consuming so much energy the host's body disentigrates and the Grimataur is restraint once again.

Second time I participate in Jazza's challenge of the month and I am so excited! I loved working on this piece! Finally it is complete! I didnt put too much effort on the story but I think it fits. Good luck to all of the other participants! Feel free to comment :)
