SPACE FAIL

You can tell I didn't really know what I was doing when making this. Advice from Pro's would be great :V

First spacey picture...maybe the last. This is months old and I had forgotten all about it till recently.
It was going to be a background to a character piece...but I got lazy.
I don't think this is good enough for resource but if you are interested in using it for a personal flash animation or something then please PM me.

This looks very realistically sci-fi to me, its almost no different than the new alien planet graphics you see in movies, I don't know where the Sun is but from the looks of it, you made it be that little purple nova star, if that is the case you might wanna "rotate" the shading on the planet a little. but again this looks very realistic keep up the good work, never be embarased of your own imagination.

Pretty close to being a good thing

Do not be discouraged because your first attempt will not have gone as expected, because you can not imagine how many times I wanted to destroy the monitor with a haduken for doing wrong planet (usually resembled an egg), and having screwed up the scene.

A simple view is perfect, but you have to realize that if you do a planet should not let such a large area in the dark, has a whole planet and then darken the area you want is the back usually but it depends on what to be obtained.

Another thing is try not to use space images already made (not saying that this is the case is just a warning) create your own background that gives more originality and is always putting different perspectives, you are using is the most used for any beginner but some people do large-scale solar systems but that of course we will talk about another topic.

Always try to make the scenario is consistent with the planet and finally do not give up practice and believe me achieve great things;)

I hope I have been helpful and sorry for this review so long is that I like to say everything at once since I have only one chance

continue the good work.

Bazomanda responds:

Thankyou for the detailed review :D It's all very helpfull.
The lighting for the planet was a little difficult for me to get to look right so i'll use less shadow next time.
I know what you're saying about layout, noobs (like me) always do the same sort of set up I guess. This is all original but not very well laid and thought out.
I know practice makes perfect and what not. ;]

Thanks again for taking the time to point everything out. It all gets taken in :D
