Russian Bears

Hmm, an interesting piece, with the massive bear looming menacingly over the Kremlin. Is this some sort of symbolism of the Cold War, with America portrayed by the bear and the USSR by the Kremlin, the sear of all of the Union's power in the bleak midwindter?

I think that the bear roaring might have been better, as opposed to just standing there looking impressive. I think that the direction of the brush strokes was important, in order to get the lay of the fur going right for the bear, which gives it so much more depth. Maybe a little more detail could be given to the foreground, since there is so much in the background and the bear, that you need to keep it all closely tied together.

I love your art style, guy, it's real and very colorful, w/ almost any bad thing.
The colors are nicely choose, you drawed awesomely the Russia towers, it's colorful and nice!! And that big bear, man, you drawed perfectly, too!!!

Well done!

This is a very nice art piece, and I can't find much wrong with it. Keep it up!

Colours are all flawlessly chosen, and I can't complain about that. The colours of the sky in the background were perfect, and the bright colours of the city were a nice contrast with the dull grey background. Shading was excellent, especially on the bear, and the texture, namely the bear's fur, was extraordinary.

I'll have to agree with Haggard about the defects he pointed out, though. The bear's mouth isn't too visible, the bush sort of ruins a lot of the picture because it's the least detailed thing from the whole piece and that dome wasn't coloured properly. Also, the watermark in the middle was extremely distracting from the picture, and I couldn't look at the picture properly without reading that text over and over again.

So yeah, practically a repeat of what Haggard said :|. Work on the dome, the bush, the mouth and that watermark not being so distracting, and you would've gotten a 10 from me. Keep up the awesome work.

OMG It's a giant bear!

Everybody hide now!

The fur of the bear looks very real and I like the shadings you added to it. Gives a good impression of the bear, as if he's just about to step out of this picture.
Only thing I'm missing here is his mouth, it just isn't visible.

The buildings look good as well, very colourful. Must have been very difficult to paint in all those colours. Anyway, the dome of the blue/white building isn't coloured propably, on the left hand side the bear is still visible, even though the parts that are visible should be behind the building.

I didn't like the bush in the foreground. Compared to the details of the rest of the picture it is a bit lacking, looks more like a blob than a bush or tree.

Anyway, overall this is a very good picture.
