Old Okami oekaki that I turned around and stretched out to a larger size from the original 800X600 to 1280x800 with Paint Tool Sai and added better water blurs along with additional details. The original 800x600 is lost sadly otherwise I would have added it for comparison.

Oekaki's are web browser based java applets (Not to be confused with phone apps) that were hosted on dedicated websites and image boards in the early 00's-10's. The most difficult of these drawing applets being TegakiE due to it's extremely limited tool sets and practically non-existent layer support. Modern applets have moved to HTML5 giving artist more tools and abilities than were available back in the day. They do not offer the same levels of tools available to dedicated programs such as PaintToolSai, PhotoShop, Clip Studio, or Paint.net.

The limitations of the applet used to make this image: Individual color selection by RGB/hex. The undo/redo function was limited from 5-20 steps depending cache and memory. If the applet had layer support it was usually limited to around 20 layers max and often times less than that. Computer mice were used most often as the applets barely had tablet pen pressure support. If they did support tablets, it often required additional java code installation. If your browser crashed, from memory or other issues, image progress was usually lost or partially lost since client/server side caching was still limited. If you were lucky a website would allow for you to 'save' an upload file of progress to rework on at a later time.

This is just breathtaking

The variety of color just BEAUTIFULL I FUCKING LOVE IT

hmm.

I like it but, I think you should have made her hair (if that is her long hair under the water) more visible. I don't know, I just think Ama would look better with long hair.
Also (I think it's because of the hole/dimple/whatever in her chest) I get off a male vibe from her. Sorry. Good artwork though. I like the flames.

superb!
