Before the Drio project, the varius Nevexus family corperations had their own highly trained mercinary groups that occasionally worked together for the good of profits. Kappara once had the fortune to meet this man in his early years, Zin Hataru, perhapse one of the greatest shadow hunters in all history. Unfortunately he was later corrupted by the Revenant after defeating his greatest prey, the massive shadow known as Reaver.

Really. Whoever chose this as 3rd should reconsider.
I think it's great.
The colouring and atmosphere are very good, but the closer character (Zin Hataru?) has a few problems that makes this lose a couple of points, mainly the pose.
Like the idea of this, and nice sword also the beast looks interesting.
A modern day fairy tale I mean. Hence the beam sword and the futuristic armor. The man is the knight in shining (Or as we say, glowing and plasmic) armor. The best is the dragon. Interesting. I like how you use the title "Slaying The Beast". That's why it reminds me of a fairy tale.
You have a point it reminds me of yogg because hes bursting out of the ground y'know?
Cool, sorta reminds me of a raid in WoW, but in the future O.o
Nice concept, but environment could be better. O, btw, you should be an author/illustrator.
but the guys torso seems pretty small in proportion to the rest of his body,
he does seem stiff, but i can tell he is slowly making his way to the beast so its ok. your persoective has me believe that creature is huge, so kudos on that =]

It looks like a level of a game
The art itself is absolutely fantastic which is why I hate to say that his pose ruins it. It's very stiff an not lifelike. Particularly his left arm and leg, and his right leg.
Other than that the colors used are fantastic and it's very impressive.

Clearly you have talent, the shadow monster and the room are both brilliant and the implication of scale is done very well. Also the style of the shadow hunter's suit is also very cool but could be drawn a little better, the proportions are slightly off in places. And I don't think the sword looks great, it lets the the rest of this drawing a bit. Overall though I was impressed by this drawing and I hope you make more like it.

at the base of the light stuff it looks really fat but then it get really clear and t the end it looks like i could just put my hand trew there and nothing would happen

this is pretty awesome. i like the concept, composition, and colors. you even added that hint of atmosphere where the monster is cause its so far away but you can still see it making it appear to be super huge. i guess my only issue is with the suit the guy is in. he has these fairly huge legs and zero ass. besides that great job

Maybe should add some blue lightning on the floor to light up the column, it would add some more atmosphere. but then it probably be more obvious?

but what that bothers me is the lava crack on the ground.
It seemed stuck between fantasy & sci-fi.
yeahh like katokun said when i first saw it i was like "hey, that dude looks like isaac from dead space"
you did really well on the highlighting, but the alien doesnt really look like he's protruding from the hole, it looks like he's always been there
so yeah, the warrior's pose is awkward and unnatural; well guess what, if you ever see this in real life, run the other way cause you aint in fucking kansas anymore, toto!
I do think that the artist -could- do a better job at rendering the human form, but honestly, in this picture, i dont think it matters; its a bloody awesome pic and he deserves his props for it.

...is with people rating reviews as useless when all that they consist of is constructive criticism. all you retards need to get over negative comments against your favourite artist's work; they're there to help the artist improve his/her work. its like DA up in here.
I don't like the sword It doesn't look like a dangerous weapon. It looks far to splotchy is the word I think. It also isn't straight. It just looks like a big light saber that was losing it's charge . And the end of it looks like it couldn't do shit to me it's so transparent. basically like hitting me with a purple sword made of air. In short. make it more blade like, a menacing weapon that can actually do something. Also the guy looks a bit tooth picky and holds his little weapon like his hand is on backwards(awkwardly). Bu the rest looks terrific.

The pic has an awesome set up with the beast being framed by the hero's body and sword. Does well to size up the opponents and engage the viewer. Otherwise the lighting seems too dull and the the pic could be a little more sharper. Other than that the design of both beast and ninja is epic and hope to see even more form ya.
the postion and balance was a little awkward. the angle the soldiers body makes him look thinner and weak. Other than that, everything else such as the colour, the design, even the title, works nicely :3

I like how you made the armor like, shine. the creativity was very good and the sword reminded me of the energy sword from Halo 2 and 3. also how you made the light on the guy's armor make a little light. All the features you put into this made it look very realistic like the rest of your art. I also like how you create your creatures, armor, etc. You are very good at drawing. Good Job
I think the entire thing overall is pretty amazing.
I love the shine you give to everything, it really gives a "gloss" to the idea of the advanced technology being portrayed.
My only complaint is that the dimensions and positions of certain things in the piece look awkward. The arm looks crammed against his back, and makes it look very unnatural. Also there's no focus in the picture, the entire thing feels flat because of it. The orientation of the man's head in relation to the monster (reaver right?), he looks like he's dazing off into space while the monster is looking the other way, also could be a result of having no objects focused.
Another thing is when I first see the art, I didn't realize that the sword was a sword at all, because the positioning made it look like a peice of scenery, once again, possibly resulting from lack of portrayal of the 3rd dimension.
Overall I think you're very talented :), keep doing something I could never do :D.

I try to nitpick at imperfections I see in people's artwork but I have absolutely nothing to complain about. It's creative, very well made, the lighting and shading are perfect and most of all it just looks plain awesome. Great work.

The lighting was very nicely done, the armor itself was just amazing and gave it a future view of the suit, and the theme was nice along with the title, it was just awesome!

both photoshop and painter, and the sword is a custom brush, everything else is just a round brush
