From the first chapter of the book I'm working on, 4 new characters. Starting on the left bottom:

Spc Kenji Spence - Tech / Pilot
At a young age Kenji inherited a fortune from his parents who were killed in the war against the Sa'ar. With the fortune he was able to pursue his hobbies in extreme sports and techo tinkering ended up living the playboy life of luxury. That is until the Bathosian Empire invaded his homeland seizing his assets. Unable to conform to the socialist lifestyle under Bathosian rule, Kenji escaped and signed on to the Freedom Order, a united front of different races fighting against the Bathosian Empire.

Cpl Marcus Wells - Heavy Weapons / Explosives
Marcus grew up on a mining vessel crewed mostly by family. From a young age he became well acquainted with explosives and heavy machinery working in the family buisness. While he never had much of a formal education Marcus learned everything he needed on the job site. When the war broke out his two younger brothers signed on to fight the good fight. Marcus chose to stay with his parents to help run he business, but after word of both his brothers dieing in combat Marcus signed on for revenge.

Lt John Gibson - Squad Leader
John was a history teacher when the war broke out, and his wife was pregnant with his first son. After witnessing the devastation left by the Bathosians, John knew he had to do something bigger with his life to protect his new family. When the recruiters came to the school he was teaching at to sign up new blood John put his name on the list and shipped out.

Sgt Amelia Hayes - Weapons Specialist - Combat Control
Amelia was your typical only child tomboy growing up in the outer colonies. Her parents came down with a sickness that hit her world rendering them too weak to take proper care of themselves or her for that matter. Amelia sacrificed much of her childhood taking care of them. When the sickness finally killed them she left that life behind and put herself through school. When the war broke out Amelia signed on with the Freedom Order to pay for school and ensure she never ended up on a colony again.
