First Digital dragon with my own new tablet! I just needed to draw Arcon again! I Just really like his design. And his colors are great to. He redesigned him abit. I gave him a more human look. I think it worked out.
Ehm 40 hours Photoshop. I drew him without scales or at least very little. I´m trying some other styles. But there are still alot of details in it. I´m going to try to make even less details in another deviation. I experiment in coloring, anatomy and composition.
Enjoy! Critics are welcome!

How WOW
I really like how natural an unnatural beast looks like in this picture. The wings aren't full spread out, but the curve inwards doesn't sacfrice the integrated of the drawing. I also enjoy how it isn't perfectly symmetrical and by that i mean one of side of the creature isn't almost identical. The wings have an extra part to it and there isn't a mathematical set number of feathers on both sides.
Great job, Ruth.

hmmm..
ya I have a few beefs -for one I personally think the neck is too long.. and the wings generally come out of the shoulder flades for dragons, not the sides unless its a dragon with spine wings that run along the course of its entire body..
I like its ears though.. the head is a bit awkward as you have a bit of a top/side thing going on at the same time..
good use of foreshortening though :)

Wow.
You have some true talent man, the level of detail in this picture is perfect. It doesn't have too much, or too little, giving it a sort of balance. It's very pleasing to the eye.

YES!
Absolutely unbelievably awesome!
This is a perfect example of your design talents, it is really original and it works amazingly.
I mean, who else than you can design and draw an insanely cool snake-ish dragon, that has a man-like body, feather wings (instead of the standard leather all dragons have nowadays) AND a nice haircut :P
I especially like the head, I just can't describe how cool it looks.
The tail is kinda Shenron... ever watch Dragonball?
The rest of it is also A-class, keep up the good work!
