I've been drawing this creature most of the time at night. In the dark the contrast is more viseble. I really needed to see the contrast well because it's a dark painting.
I've use Coral Painter for the serpent and Photoshop for the background. It took me about 25 hours. The water was a horrible job. I'm bad in it. I never draw water, so I've learned alot after drawing this.
This is a deepsea serpent/dragon That's why he has glowing thingies in and on him. I got the idea it on The pokemon kyorge and The Twilight marks of legend of Zelda.
It's drawn in a totally different style! But I've used some of the scale styles before.
I'm real Happy With it! I hope some of you too :D

I like the colors. Very well done.
So amazing, I love the design.
You have a great talent, that's obvious. The shading is beautiful, and I like what you did with the perspective, showing how long this serpent really is. The water and waves look great. My only suggestion is to give this serpent an actual name, instead of "Serpent of the Depths."
The "water" looks like a sea of essence which is actually a good thing for a "mythical" beast. It looks great. It looks a bit in pain.
The coloring of the neck and head needs to be more subtle, so it blends well with the body. Right now, it looks a bit out of place.
First of all, the colors are really nice. The deep blue works very well and gives it a slightly dark and moody feel, which is perfect for a rearing sea serpent.
The amount of detail is also some eve-candy. Great.
All in all, a 10/10.
Kudos!
