I like your idea on what kind of a creature it is. Not a terrible monster, but a harmless creature. Very nice perspective, and, I ask EVERYONE this, what tools do you use?
My entry for Jazza s October Challenge of the Month 2015 contest! The grimataur!
(hopin my background hinted human settlement doesnt go unnoticed)
Lore: The grimataur is a sacred creature, obscurely referenced in the art of tribal cultures all over the world. Despite its harmless nature, its proximity is believed to be a bad omen. The grimataur aids the balance of the world, consuming the souls of those who, ignoring they died, remain on Earth. It seems to be oddly fixated on you... Are you sure you are alive?

maaan first contest entry EVER
I wanted to swim against the stream and make the grimataur a sacred creature, harmless to the living. I also wanted to do something creative with the horns...
I didnt use any texture for the scales, of course, so i almost died hand shading every little thing. Black and scales, oh dear.
See you soon!

Thanks!
I use Photoshop CS3, a Wacom Intuos Medium tablet, some of Photoshop's basic brushes, and some of Aaron Blaise's custom brushes.
I wish you hadnt put so much light in front of him so I could see that beautiful design!!! I love the style and the look of him! But I want to see more of his body.
You are right, I will have that on mind from now on! Thanks for the critique
I really like the lighting and all the detail in the scales, there's a few things that I'm worried about for this entry though, 1, it's hard to see if it has a tail. 2, I can't tell if it's 2.5 meters tall because there aren't any humans in the picture to compare it to. but overall I really like your style of art! hope you do good in the contest !
To be honest, I am worried about the same things! As much as it pains me, its finished as it is. I am happy about having participated even if its ruled out. Thanks for your good wishes!
This is one of my favorite concepts....i really love it
Thanks Alessandro... it means a lot <3
