The Weird Indian

Here's a new one for ya, no more posting my old crap!

This is a drawing of a Native American statuette over at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. I didn't check to see which native culture it came from or when it was made, but I believe it's precolonial. Took me about 2 hours to do the sketch, and another hour or so in Photoshop for the color.

Also, congratulations on being my first piece on this site that wasn't done exclusively through digital means, Weird Indian. Don't look so surprised. :)

I love this

The colors, contours, shading, all that. It's good, the style's cool. I wouldn't have guess any of it was done in PS. Who was the sculptor of the original statuette?

Angry-Hatter responds:

No idea. I forgot to check how old the thing was, but it's definitely pre-colonial, maybe even pre-Common Era. So anywhere from 500 to 2500 years old.
