Rather well done, actually! If you were going for an accurate recreation, there were a couple things (facial features/expression especially) that you could've done a little more accurately to the image you were drawing from, plus maybe the addition of higher contrast in shading like the original. But otherwise, really nice work. You have a pretty good grasp of that painterly style that I wish I had even a little bit of skill with. And furthermore, even with the couple slight inaccuracies, you did a better job of his facial features than I've seen other fan artists do. Well done.

Personally i'm not a huge fan of painting the photo exactly, but its still a great handle on realism.
Try getting in there and defining some of the shapes out with a harder bush.
