from the robotic arm and the characters face staring down at it makes me think that there is some event that has happened for example a failure to save a loved one for example which resulted in a constant reminder of the characters failure. Long hair depicts as a bit of a bohemian (rebel). Bag suggests a few things such as the character being a drifter traveling from place to place or even a highschool student.
Nice use of clothing folds btw.
